Getting to Leavenworth is quick and easy.  Plan on a 2 1/2 hour drive from the Seattle area.

Driving Directions

Via I-90    

From Seattle, drive east on I-90 to the Wenatchee exit which is the second Cle Elum exit.  Follow the signs towards Wenatchee and Highway 2.  Once at the Highway 2 junction, turn left.  Leavenworth is only 5 miles away.

Via Hwy 2  

From Seattle, drive north on I-5 to Everett or drive northeast on 522 from I-405 to Monroe.  Head east on Highway 2 over Stevens Pass and continue on to Leavenworth.

Prepare for winter driving conditions!  

The Department of Transportation plows and sands the roads often, but you should always carry chains, have good traction tires, and check the road conditions before you leave.  Be sure to leave early, drive safe and slow, make sure you have de-icing wiper fluid, and carry snacks, beverages, and warm clothes.
